About MSF Landscapes Inc.
A Message From The Owner, Mark
I am a native of Worcester, MA, and grew up under the nurturing guidance of my parents, Rudy and Phyllis Forge. Their influence left an indelible mark on me, shaping my character and work ethic. My father held esteemed positions in the municipal sphere. As Worcester City Treasurer and President of the Worcester Musicians Union, he exemplified dedication and leadership. His financial acumen as an active CPA further enriched my upbringing. My mother, dedicated over three decades to educating young minds as an elementary school teacher in Spencer, MA. Her commitment to nurturing future generations instilled a profound love for family and community in me.
Growing up, my weekends were split between two worlds: my mother’s childhood farm in Spencer and my paternal grandparents’ home in South Boston. These contrasting environments exposed me to the resilience of first-generation immigrants and the enduring legacy of Massachusetts's founding families. From them, I imbibed the values of hard work, integrity, and adaptability.
My affinity for farm life blossomed as I tended livestock and cultivated vegetable and flower gardens. My love for the land and my parents fueled my determination to contribute while still in school. In the 1970s, while attending St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, I founded MSF Landscapes. My goal was to finance his education and gain a head start in life. Armed with little more than a truck and a lawn mower, My entrepreneurial spirit flourished. My unwavering commitment to self-improvement and family support drove the expansion of my business during his college years at the College of the Holy Cross.
At MSF Landscapes, we believe that the best person for any job is the one who will perform it with excellence. I take immense pride in my work and the reputation I have built over the years. As industry leaders, we attribute our success to our talented and diverse team, whose collective passion drives us forward.
